Homework

I am currently taking classes at the Art Institute of Portland for Graphic Design and Photography. For one of my classes we were assigned to take some pictures to showcase our own personal style. So I kidnapped my younger cousins and took them to the park. They are the CUTEST kids and absolutely SUPERB models. I'm not even joking, these kids are so professional, take direction so well and are just so much to work with. Here's a few of my favorite:

If you can't tell, (which I hope is NOT the case), my personal style is to capture moments, not poses.

Weddings!

So in 2008 I was IN a lot of weddings as a bridesmaid... it appears that this year I will be involved in even MORE weddings, but behind the camera!

My first wedding of 2009 was on January 10 in Roseburg, Oregon. Kelsey Csergei-Habig assisted me and it was so much fun (and comforting) to work with someone you know and trust! The couple, Elise and Silvio, were so in love and completely at ease in front of the camera which makes my job that much easier! It was gorgeous winter day, not a cloud in the sky! The wedding was beautiful and the photos turned out great. Here's a sneak peak:

Welp, here I go!

So... I'm not really sure how this is going to go but here goes....
I'm a photographer.
I have a website: http://www.bethanyraelenestudio.com.
And now I have a blog.

The reason?

1. I love photography with a passion.
B. To get hired as a photographer people have to be able to view your work.
III. I want to be able to have an "active" website so that people can see that I am constantly working and striving to be not just a good photographer, but a great photographer.
And 4? I simply love photography.

Did I say the last one twice? It is true both times.
